Pride and passion of the Po valley, the Vialone nano rice is a variety of Italian rice with Protected Geographical Indication typical of the Lower Veronese area and has the characteristic of being grown in areas irrigated with pure spring water. It is the oldest variety of rice among those obtained by hybridization, almost the forefather of Italian rice. It is a rice with a round and medium-sized grain about 5/6 millimeters long and is the most suitable for the preparation of refined risottos by virtue of its high resistance to cooking and the extraordinary ability to absorb seasonings. Extremely versatile in the kitchen, it is also recommended for the preparation of minestrone, soups in broth, rice croquettes or arancini.
