HISTORY OF THE BREADSTICKS
Delicious and fragrant, the Breadsticks are the signature bakery product of the Piedmontese culinary tradition. Their origins date back to 1675 when Mister Antonio Barbero, the baker of the Savoy Royal Family, invented these crunchy sticks, stretching the bread by hand and baking it throughoutly. Breadsticks quickly became famous all over Europe: even Napoleon Bonaparte enjoyed them and never missed a provision of his beloved petits bâtons de Turin.
The success of the Breadsticks come from in their extraordinary crunchiness, digestibility and long shelf-life, as well as from the simplicity of the ingredients.

Panificio BO proudly carries on this tradition since 1820:

Top Quality handcrafted Grissini (from the ancient piedmontese word ghërsa, which means Breadstick) stretched one by one as required by the true Piedmonts’ tradition, made with selected raw materials, simple recipes and NO preservatives for a product of real artisan excellence.
Available also in organic quality with our brand “La Grissineria Bio”
Focaccine raise from the artisan creativity of Panificio Bo:
Love and respect for the good food and for the tradition of “handcrafting” combined with a continuous creative research in the “White Arts” of bakery, these are the main ingredients of our Focaccine, mouthwatering crunchy Focaccia Strips. A delicious tribute for all food lovers, for the most demanding and refined palates and perfect for every kind of convivial occasion.
