The tomato harvest season runs from August to September. The tomatoes are naturally dried in the sun and then put in extra virgin olive oil along with aromatic herbs. The high quality of this product can be easily identified by the delicious taste, bright red color and fleshy texture.
Dried tomatoes add a delicious extra flavor to the dishes. They are used as the final ingredient in salads and many other dishes including sauces for pasta, fish and meat. They do not need to be cooked; add them to the dishes before serving with a little extra virgin olive oil.
