Sanbay is an organic zabaglione, a creamy dessert for connoisseurs that enhances the authentic flavour of our eggs, inspired by the culinary tradition of Piedmont.

Its recipe hasn’t changed since its invention in the XVIth century by the friar Pasquale De Baylon and was then known as “crema di San Baylon” of which have been derived “zabaglione” and our own “Sanbay”.

Light, nutritious and gluten free, Sanbay acquires its taste and energizing quality from a few simple organic ingredients: eggs from our free-range hens which are fed organic cereals cultivated on our farm, cane sugar and white Passito wine from Sicily giving it that characteristic aroma of dried fruit. 

Served hot or cold it lends itself to the most innovative culinary creations and is perfect to accompany ice cream, whipped cream or fresh fruit salad.  But one can only really taste its goodness and all its nuances when served neat in all its purity, straight from the jar, or when shared with friends and family, served in elegant cups, giving shared moments that extra special touch.
